IN THE SURROUNDINGS: The 2cuorieunB&B is the starting point to discover an area rich in art and history, of hidden views and enchanting landscapes, of majestic villas and ancient castles. It is the ideal area for practicing all kinds of sports: sailing, surfing, kytesurfing, canoeing, mountain biking, cross country, skiing, climbing ... there is an embarrassment of choice.

 

LANDSCAPES: Valvarrone is located between Valsassina and Valtellina. This is the branch of Como Lake that offers wonderful views, in small villages, with historic villas, castles and majestic gardens. Villa Monastero in Varenna, also home to a Convention Center known internationally for the physics lessons held in 1954 by the Nobel Prize Enrico Fermi, is surrounded by a Botanical Garden that stretches for 2 km along the lake front from Fiumelatte to Varenna. Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo with a magnificent botanical park and rooms full of masterpieces of art. It rises in front of the breathtaking scenery of Bellagio. Villa Melzi d Eril, symbol of Bellagio, the characteristic village that divides the Lario into its two branches, has a garden rich in rare and exotic plants, ancient trees, forests of azaleas and giant rhododendrons. Villa del Balbianello in Lenno, today the heritage of the FAI. In the past it has hosted exponents of the Italian Risorgimento. Castello di Vezio has been standing for over a thousand years on the promontory overlooking Varenna, where the history, art, nature and culture of the area merge in perfect harmony with each other. Corenno Castle Pliny, in the municipality of Dervio, had defensive and sighting functions. In a strategic position it protected the access of the lake from the Valtellina and Valchiavenna.

 

HUTS: Rifugio Roccoli Lorla is the ideal starting point for two of the most panoramic excursions: MONTE LEGNONCINO and MONTE LEGNONE. Rifugio Bellano, reachable on foot from the small lake of Artesso, between larches and beeches, is located on the western side of Legnoncino. 

 

BEACHES: Lido di Dervio in Santa Cecilia area where there are sailing and kite surfing schools. Lido di Bellano on a lovely beach with bar and swimming pool. Lido Bau Bau Beach in Olivedo Perledo is the only dog ​​beach on the eastern branch of Lake Como. 

 

And then ... in Val Tartano, the highest Tibetan bridge in Europe: 234 meters long and 140 meters high. Passable by all, it offers visitors a unique panoramic view from the mountains to the green valley of the Tartano, from the dam of Colombera to the valley floor of Valtellina that culminates in Lake Como.

 

Not to be missed: the Moto Guzzi Museum located in Mandello del Lario. It is located in the heart of the Factory where, from 1921 to the present, all the motorcycles bearing its trademark have always been manufactured. It collects a very rich collection of over 150 exhibits including production bikes, sport bikes and experimental prototypes.
